Hot Melt Swirl Spray Applications
The process of adhesive swirl is commonly used to apply thin or variable surface area products to other substrates. The swirl pattern is achieved by pushing warm air through a nozzle containing a set of compound and angled holes. This creates a vortex around the adhesive bead forcing it to swirl in a circular fashion. Common swirl widths can range from ½” up to 6” wide. 1.5-2.0” widths are the most common.
