MicroCodeChek is a vision based code inspection system that reads and verifies barcodes and 2D barcodes on packaging as it runs through the production line. The system reads and analyzes all barcodes and checks for readability and code correctness. Code health evaluation can be activated along with full support for variable data codes. The result is confidence that only correctly coded product ships to customers.
Using a compact camera with built in lighting, MicroCodeChek captures an image of every code as product moves past the camera. The system decodes the code, compares it against expected values or a loaded dataset, and can also assess code quality using multi point grading techniques. When a fault is detected, the system alarms the operator, marks the defective product for ejection, and saves the image. Up to four cameras can run simultaneously on a single line.
