PrintChek is ClearVision's full-sheet print inspection system for die-cutters and flexo-folder-gluers. PrintChek captures a full-sheet image of every box on the line and compares it against a gold standard reference image you set for the order. The standard can be loaded from a PDF file, scanned from an approved sheet, or auto-armed from a stored product database.
PrintChek catches a range of print defects including missing print, smearing, fading, ghosting, double print, scratches, scuffs, and incorrect color. It also catches print-to-print and print-to-sheet registration issues, sheet size and rotation problems, barcode quality issues, and physical sheet damage like delamination, splices, and paper defects. When a defect is found, PrintChek can be tied into a stacker ejector to automatically remove defective boxes, a spray valve to mark defective product for later removal, or the line controls to trigger a feed interrupt so the operator can identify and pull the bad product.
PrintChek is available in a Standard configuration with 0.5mm resolution and in a High Graphics configuration with 0.2mm resolution for finer defects. It supports top-print and bottom-print installations with multiple cameras, multiple inspection zones with separate tolerances, and SPC tracking with Cp and Cpk monitoring for trend-based alarming.
